The Marconi Award is an annual award given by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) to recognize excellence in the radio broadcasting industry. Named in honor of Guglielmo Marconi, the inventor of the radio, the award was first presented in 1989.
There are different categories for the Marconi Awards, including Station of the Year, Personalities of the Year (by market size and format), Syndicated Personality of the Year, and Network/Syndicated Show of the Year.
Winners are selected by a panel of judges consisting of industry professionals, broadcasters, and leaders in the field. The Marconi Awards are considered to be one of the most prestigious awards in the radio broadcasting industry.
